As New Zealand's most-loved loyalty programme, with over 2 million members, a website migration for Flybuys would continue to drive data-driven customer engagement initiatives by enhancing both technical and personalised capabilities.
Considering the complexity in display rules, customer journeys and technical integrations, an audit and data field mapping was performed on the exisiting site to ensure accuracy in the migration of components, data and functionality.
Rebuilding the design system in Figma would complement the need to aid efficiency and consistency in implementing product development. The new system structure needed to cater for the exisiting information architecture but also be scalable for future development.
As a single source of truth for Flybuys design, the design system was a baseline to create a token structure, accessibility guidelines, style guide and a dev component library. These design processes enabled the build of components and patterns to be built consistently and optimise functionality.
The development and implementation of this project attests to the collaboration of a cross-functional team utilising agile frameworks to deliver better customer experiences for members, faster.
